We are mamas and birth workers who decided to do birth differently– and bring others along with us. We are kind, fun to work with, and great at (lovingly) calling people on their bullshit. With 12 children and 20 years of midwifery between us, we’ve learned a thing or two along the way, and Indie Birth is our space to share it all with you.

Last night, or more accurately, super early this morning, I woke (for who knows what pregnancy reason!) and found myself staring out the window into the sky.
**
It’s so dark here in Sedona (no streetlights); looking out the window at night reveals the vast mystery of the Universe. My eyes focused in on the stars, and I could clearly feel and connect that this is where my baby comes from. From some other place, some other galaxy. I’ve felt this with some but not all of my babies; and never this strong.
**
Compelled by the darkness and the bright stars, I also felt how this baby is slowly grounding in, how he/she regularly goes out to the stars (especially at night) but is returning to the body more readily. I called him back (him, her?) in that moment and suddenly he was back in human form, kicking around in my belly. Able to flow and shapeshift and traverse the realities.
**
Magic.
**
Have you had experiences like this with spirit babies, in pregnancy? I’d love to hear your stories.
