Meet the duo behind Indie Birth

We are mamas and midwives who decided to do birth differently– and bring others along with us. We are radical, fun to work with, and great at (lovingly) calling people on their bullshit to help move us all towards a new more beautiful world. With 12 children and over two decades of midwifery between us, we’ve learned a thing or two along the way, and Indie Birth is our space to share it all with you.

I found Indie Birth when I was planning my first free birth. I think I found the website first and then your podcast. I accidentally stumbled upon it and quickly realized I had struck gold.

"I have listened to nearly all the podcasts."

Indie Birth honestly got me through PPD after moving to a new town where I knew no one. They helped me feel less alone and I learned a ton! I love all of them!

A friend of mine was planning a birth that would be just her and her husband at home maybe 6 years ago, that concept blew my mind - so I googled "giving birth yourself" and came across Indie Birth. I learned you had a podcast and all the resources and started listening.

"I love everything
you do!"
