  1. Mindi Rosser says:

I cannot get Kara’s story out of my head after listening to it a week ago on the podcast. I would love to check out a list of other resources/communities to support women interested in Unassisted Birth, especially those with an adamantly resistant husband. After listening, I felt empowered to have that talk with my hubby about how I want to birth, instead of just going with the flow and trying to keep him happy by going to the doctor and planning a hospital birth. Any other tips?

  2. Shana Ritter says:

All of your podcasts are wonderful and I always recommend them to others, but this one, in particular, really hit home for me and was particularly inspirational to listen to. Kara was able to succinctly articulate some of the feelings that I have as I am preparing for my 2nd birth / 1st UC. Like her, I am isolated without a local community of like-minds, so I have to seek out my “community” in other ways. This podcast interview helped in that vein. Thank you.

  3. Laura says:

Thank you so much for sharing! I can relate to Kara in so many ways. This really makes me feel confident in my decision to go unassisted.

  4. Sarah says:

What an amazing story! Thanks for sharing, Kara, you’re so inspiring!! <3

  5. Emily S says:

I really enjoyed this podcast!! We have currently been seeing a midwife at a birthing center, but I have recently been feeling a calling to have a homebirth… I feel like this podcast was a sign! This is my first pregnancy and I can relate to her story and feelings, especially with her reservations regarding her first pregnancy.
I would also love more resources regarding unassisted childbirth.
