I created this short meditation for one of my Indie Birth Midwifery School classes after the students had been studying for many weeks about complications in pregnancy.
I wanted to finish the course by reminding them, myself and anyone else that our brains can learn many things, but we must always bring our hearts back to trust.
I hope this meditation is useful to any midwife or really any birth worker when they experience inevitable fear around the “bad” things that can happen, and also the lack of control we all have over the processes of pregnancy and birth. My intention with this meditation is to help you find your center and have another tool in your box for dealing with fear, tension or uncertainty as we do this work.
