Meet the duo behind Indie Birth
We are mamas and midwives who decided to do birth differently– and bring others along with us. We are radical, fun to work with, and great at (lovingly) calling people on their bullshit to help move us all towards a new more beautiful world. With 12 children and over two decades of midwifery between us, we’ve learned a thing or two along the way, and Indie Birth is our space to share it all with you.

This all makes so much sense. Hands off, uninterrupted birth always works best. It scared me for what the future hold for our women and babies. I love how honest and direct you are, without biased. There are far to many birth workers that are afraid of offending anyone by telling it like it is. Keep us the amazing work!
thank you so much for your podcasts! especially the transcripts help me also when my 2 yr old is napping i can just read it instead of listening. I am educating myself in freebirth and am due with baby #2 this summer. So far it’s been a happy unassisted pregnancy. I’m so beyond grateful for the birth stories on this website also and that I found your youtube channel and this website. keep doing what you’re doing! , forget the haters.
gracias hermanas for your trust, your wisdom and your passion for the feminine way, our rhythms, celebrating women birthing their babies undisturbed with primal dignity, honouring the mother infant dyad (the needs of the mother and her baby are never contradictory) having the courage to tell it like it is.
blessed be , wendy
