I agree that modern life is more sedentary and there are more general body misalignment issues (cell phone use, bad sleep posture, tight clothes, etc.). But I was also thinking that our ancestors had to do long stagecoach rides and bend over to stoke a fire or launder by hand. I think we forget that they had a lot of physical strains because of their slow, more natural way of life. Even my grandmothers remember how they had to cook on an open fire and go down to the river for running water. And I’m only 30. Every generation has its aches and pains. Some less.
