We are mamas and birth workers who decided to do birth differently– and bring others along with us. We are kind, fun to work with, and great at (lovingly) calling people on their bullshit. With 12 children and 20 years of midwifery between us, we’ve learned a thing or two along the way, and Indie Birth is our space to share it all with you.

Maybe it’s the really cool message I heard this morning about the nature of reality, or my eldest turning 10 last week, or the level 3 IFS training I’m absorbing, or maybe its the more than usual cannabis tincture I took as part of my pre-menstrual protocol (helps me so much with my anxiety and also with warding off potential migraines)…..

But I have been pondering my life and the direction its going in. Not in an anxious or forceful way. Just in a “whoa, I never expected to be here” way.

For example, today I was intentionally tanning my chubby belly poolside per Nikko’s recommendation over at Brighter Days Darker Nights as part of me continuing to try to up my quantum and circadian health (are these terms sort of interchangeable?). I have, until now, NOT been a “pool person”. Or really much of an “outside person”, ha.

I never ever ever thought I would live in Arizona again. I swore it would never happen. Lol.

I also didn’t picture myself ever renting or living in an apartment again, but it has been so awesome.

I certainly never thought I’d be a single mom with no co-parent in the picture.

And I thought I was going to attend births for the rest of my life as a midwife, but right now that feels….uncertain. At least in the old iteration of it.

And what has helped me ride these huge waves of change has been the guidance of a number of wise women. They have held me, helped me look inside at my own Self and parts, taught me to travel to non ordinary reality to gather resources and insight, and then integrate it all so I can keep moving forward.

(Here is a little spoiler alert, some of those people are going to be joining us for an incredible brand new offering we will have ready for you soooooooon.)

They have impacted me so deeply that I wanted to learn how to do some of these things with and for other women as well. It has knocked me of the regular old midwifery path.

And as part of my new direction in life, I am now offering my own flavor of love and support in the way of Parts Work, which I integrate with shamanic principles when it makes sense. And I am creating some offerings for other birth workers to learn more about this modality and how it might benefit them or the women they work with, too.

Here’s where you come in! To do that I’d like to find 1-2 pregnant women, a recently postpartum woman, and 1-2 birth workers who want emotional/spiritual support related to the pregnancy continuum or their birth work. They will receive sessions with me for free, but in exchange need to be willing to try out the Parts Work modality, AND be willing to record the session so that I can potentially use the recording for teaching purposes.

If this is you, just reply to this email! I will schedule with the first people who reach out, and if I have too much interest, you can always book a regular session with me 🙂
