On this week’s episode of “Birth Warrior Podcast,” our host, Jaden Graham, shares her original poem, “Liminality” – a piece written for the creative portion of Indie Birth Midwifery School’s final project. Completing the program this past March, this prose serves as Jaden’s deeply vulnerable and honest reflection of where she is on her path with midwifery, the embodiment of what she wishes her future midwife self to be, and the release of attachments to any particular outcome.
To see references and points where Jaden drew inspiration from, a written document “Liminality” is posted in the links and show notes below.
For more of Jaden’s musings, follow her on Instagram @thankful_earth . For her birthwork offerings and views on the continuum of wombhood, you can find her @spiralpathbirth (websites definitely coming soon-ish!). Jaden currently serves as a doula and midwife assistant to pregnant women and families in Humboldt and Mendocino Counties, aka the stunningly gorgeous Redwood region of Northern California. Please email her at spiralpathbirth@gmail.com to inquire on homebirth and postpartum doula services.
