  1. Mary says:

Maryn, thank you for your inspirational, wise, and encouraging podcasts. I listen to them nearly daily as I go about the tasks of caring for my family of 7, and working as a physician (! – yes, I know). Your insights have helped me to change and explore my ideas of doctoring, and I share many of your concepts with my first and second year medical students, to whom I teach physical exam and doctor-patient relations.

This podcast was interesting and informational (as ever), and it led me to Bridget’s website, where I am enjoying perusing some of her posted recipes. However, I thought she mentioned an e-cookbook in the podcast, and I cannot seem to find that. If this does exist, would you be able to post a link to it? I am interesting in purchasing it and supporting her work (and cooking some great food for my family too!).

Thank you so much for your work.

  2. Kristen Nero says:

This podcast was AWESOME! As a vegan mama who had a healthy plant-based pregnancy (it was 25% vegetarian, 75% vegan) – I fully support this message. Soaking and sprouting is very important, as is paying attention to protein and calcium intake. It’s very easy to do on a vegan diet if you are informed and knowledgeable about individual foods. Organic and local is also critically important. And yes, I had eggs for about 10 weeks during my pregnancy although I am normally a very strict vegan – I listened to my body, and when I no longer had the craving for eggs, I didn’t bother with them anymore. I have a 10 month old healthy baby girl.

In general, I love all of these podcasts and how unapologetic the information is. I will be teaching childbirth classes starting next month (Bradley method). I had a home birth myself with midwives last year for my first baby, and I love how much insight and more holistic I have become even sense having that experience. Your podcasts have definitely shaped my thinking in a more revolutionary way when it comes to birthing. Thank you!

  3. Catherine Bales says:

Hey you guys talked about smoothies on the podcast, would you guys be willing to share the ideal smoothie/smoothies? Thanks, this episode has really helped me figure out how to prepare for baby #3

  4. Megan says:

What if a vegan mama has a nut allergy?
