Meet the duo behind Indie Birth
We are mamas and midwives who decided to do birth differently– and bring others along with us. We are radical, fun to work with, and great at (lovingly) calling people on their bullshit to help move us all towards a new more beautiful world. With 12 children and over two decades of midwifery between us, we’ve learned a thing or two along the way, and Indie Birth is our space to share it all with you.

My last child is August born in August. Before I new I was pregnant I felt I was given a clear message that I was going to have a boy named August in August. I felt this strong sense of truth and certainty. I didn’t know it was possibly since I didn’t think about the timing. But when we did get pregnant and then tried to play with other names and it never felt right and we had to accept. I have appreciated this podcast as I felt there is connection we brush off and if we tune in. We then can find deeper meaning and more fulfillment in this life.
I feel like my other children also made there names clear to me but august was the most adamant. Thanks for sharing your stories.
